Baileys Irish Cream
The Baileys Irish Cream flavor, withdrawn in 2018, boasted the vanilla creaminess of Baileys Original Irish Cream, the liquor, and tasted like a boozy milkshake.
When fans demanded to know why the rich, indulgent flavor was discontinued, Häagen-Dazs said, “Sometimes products aren’t as successful as we anticipate and end up discontinued.”
Based on the dessert with the same name, the Bananas Foster ice cream was made with real bananas and real rum and had swirls of brown sugar and cinnamon throughout.
First released in 2010 and then in 2012 through a partnership with 7-Eleven, the ice cream was a limited-time flavor the brand never specifically addressed the discontinuation of.
Made from blackberries and cabernet grapes, this was a Cabernet Sauvignon wine-inspired flavor with an intense taste, a warm purple hue, and no alcohol.
The flavor was released around 2011 and withdrawn around 2015. The brand still offers a few sorbets and fruit-flavored ice creams, but nothing beats the Blackberry Cabernet Sorbet.
Made with real blueberries and cobbler crumbles, this limited-time flavor was inspired by blueberry crumble, a blueberry-based dessert topped with a crumbly crust.
The ice cream was only on shelves from 2011 to 2012. Although the Blueberry Crumble was a fan favorite, Häagen-Dazs never expressed its intention to bring the flavor back.
Part of Häagen-Dazs’ 2016 limited-time Destination Series, the Brownies a la Mode had soft, chewy brownie pieces and rich fudge swirls within a vanilla ice cream.
The said series was made up of flavors from famous world destinations, and Brownies a la Mode was for Chicago, although the flavor is a popular dessert option all across America.
