Anthony Bourdain's Favorite Cocktail Included Ingredients He Hated

Late chef Anthony Bourdain’s favorite cocktail was the Negroni, a combination of three liquors — gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth — garnished with a bit of orange peel.
However, Bourdain professed no love for any of the ingredients on their own and even noted a dislike for Campari, but he likes the cocktail as a whole.
In an interview with Barron's, he stated, "it's three liquors that I'm not particularly interested in." However, he said, "put them together with a slice of orange ... it works".
An original Negroni is a 1-to-1-to-1 cocktail, meaning it is made with equal portions of all three liquors, but Bourdain himself appeared to deviate from this practice.
When preparing a Negroni on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" in 2012, Bourdain told viewers to follow the 1-to-1-to-1 ratio but actually poured himself a larger portion of gin.
