In a smoothie or sauce, powdered peanut butter can be a good swap because it will still give the nutty flavor. However, swapping powder for real in baked goods might make them dry.
Since some recipes rely on the oil in the peanut butter, adding more oil will keep it moist. Mixing the powdered peanut butter with water will also help keep it from becoming dry.
