Gordon Ramsay Hates One Food Trend With A Fiery Passion

The one food trend Gordon Ramsay truly hates is using truffle oil. The chef feels that truffle oil's pungent flavor is so overpowering that it pollutes whatever food it touches.
"When [people] use it, they use the same… top [as other oils], so they pour it, and it comes out in abundance. This thing needs to be let out in tiny… [amounts]," he told PopSugar.
According to Ramsay, truffle oil is overrated, and chefs would be better off using a pipette to add droplets instead of a bottle with a pour spout commonly used for olive oil.
Although there are real truffle oils that use extracts from actual truffles, some are synthetic. The artificial varieties of the finishing oil bother many chefs, including Ramsay.
