Here's The Best Possible Temperature To Grill Burgers At

The temperature of your grill plays a major role in achieving the perfect sear on your burger patty. The sweet spot to aim for is between 375 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

On a gas grill, this is usually medium-high heat. This, coupled with allowing the grill plenty of time to preheat, will help achieve the perfect sear on your burger.

Give it about 15 minutes to get the surface nice and hot before adding the burgers. Cook them for a few minutes depending on your desired internal temperature and color.

Medium-rare burgers need about three minutes per side on the heat, but for well-done, cook them for 10 minutes per side.

If your grill doesn't have a built-in thermometer, place your hand above the grill until it gets too hot. If you can comfortably stay there for four to five seconds, it's ready.
