How To Properly Order A Steak At A Steakhouse

When placing your order at a steakhouse for the first time, there are two especially important factors that you should consider: the type of cut and how it will be cooked.
First, choose the type of steak you want. They are usually named by where they come from on a cow, including cuts such as filet mignon and ribeye.
When it comes to how you want your steak cooked, you have six options, in order of how long they'll spend on the grill: Blue, rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well, and well-done.
There's a lot of debate on which is best, but it ultimately comes down to personal preference. To strike a good balance between all the levels, go for medium-rare.
