It can be difficult to remove brie's rind without also pulling away half the creamy cheese inside of it, but there's an effortless way to avoid wastage: cooling the cheese first.

A brie cheese is soft and runny when warm and much firmer when cold, so freeze your brie wheel for approximately 30 minutes before removing the rind.

This helps firm up the brie, making it easier to execute precision cuts. This stiffening of the rind may help lift it away from the softer innards, making the removal even easier.
