Heinz Ketchup had the recurring issue of imitators trying to steal their brand, so in March 2023, it added a red border onto its ketchup bottles' logos to prove it as genuine.
The idea is that the ketchup isn’t the real Heinz if the color didn't match the ketchup inside the bottle. Heinz even released an Instagram filter to verify ketchup bottles.
Also in 2023, Heinz partnered with the paint brand Lick to release a paint in the iconic ketchup red, "Red HTK 57," further making the color of their ketchup more recognizable.
