Mayfield's Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream was only $4.97 for 1.5 quarts, but the texture was far too icey, and the fake vanilla flavor had an equally dismal aftertaste.
10. Breyers
Despite being called Natural Vanilla, this ice cream clearly lacks natural flavoring. While the texture was nice and light, the aftertaste was unpleasantly artificial.
9. Edy's
This ice cream cost $7.53 for 1.5-quarts and had vanilla bean speckling with a light and creamy texture. Unfortunately, the vanilla flavor
was mild and bland for the price.
8. Blue Bunny
This ice cream was a tad on the buttery side and very faint on the vanilla front, but it has a nostalgic feel reminiscent of childhood ice cream parties.
7. Trader Joe's
This ice cream is only $4.45 for a quart, but the texture is a bit dense instead of creamy. The vanilla flavor was also middling, making it so-so on all fronts.
