While baking potatoes in the oven can be time-consuming and using a microwave can negatively impact their texture, an air fryer offers a faster, more efficient alternative.

Air fryer potatoes take about 40 minutes, and come out with delicately crisped-up skin and soft insides. Start by preheating your air fryer to 400 degrees F.

Use Russet potatoes for their high starch content. Wash, prick, and coat them with olive oil, then bake for around 35-40 minutes — don’t let their skin get wrinkly or shriveled up.

Once done, slice immediately to let the steam escape. Since air fryers use a convection process to circulate heat with a fan, you’ll achieve more evenly cooked potatoes in no time.
