A combination of rolled oats and water cooked on a stovetop may result in a filling but bland meal. However, cooking steel-cut oats in a slow cooker can truly elevate your oatmeal.

Steel-cut oats are richer in nutrients than regular rolled oats and offer a distinct nutty flavor. They’re also less processed, boasting a superior texture when cooked.

The slow cooker allows you to make your oatmeal overnight and allows your oatmeal to stew in cream, fruits, sugars, and spices for hours, imparting more flavor to your dish.
