Peeling garlic can be challenging and leave you with pungent-smelling fingers. Fortunately, there’s a simple and time-efficient microwave hack that you can use for quick peeling.

Simply place unpeeled garlic cloves inside the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. If you’re working with an entire bulb, trim the tops to allow steam to escape during heating.

With a little heat, the skins will be loosened enough so that you can slide them right off, often even in one piece. Despite its effectiveness, there is one drawback to this trick.
