The Costco Butter That Mimics Kerrygold

Kerrygold butter, known for its grass-fed nature, higher fat content, and delicious flavor, has gained a cult following. However, its above-average price might deter some shoppers.
Fortunately, Costco’s Kirkland brand now offers a grass-fed butter with the same, 82% fat content as Kerrygold, but at a lower price — about one dollar less per pound.
Beyond this, there are a few other points of comparison between the two. Costco's Kirkland Signature Grass-fed Butter has a lower salt content, which results in a blander taste.
Additionally, YouTuber AwareHouseChef determined that Kerrygold butter has more milk solids than Kirkland’s grass-fed variety, making Kerrygold better for browning.
While Costco connoisseurs on Reddit have mixed reviews, and the Kirkland brand isn't an exact dupe of Kerrygold, it’s a great choice for those looking to reduce grocery costs.
