Filet-O-Fish on top of box

The Fish-O-Filet At McDonald's Looks A Bit Different Nowadays

Observant eaters of McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich have taken to social media to voice a complaint. They claim the size of the Filet-O-Fish has noticeably shrunk.
One TikToker, Paul De Sousa, posted a video holding a Filet-O-Fish, showing how tiny it looked in comparison to his hands. It looks more like a fish
slider than a full sandwich.
Customers have chalked this up to a phenomenon known as "shrinkflation," the practice of a business reducing the size of its product while maintaining the same price.
Despite the fervor, McDonald's denied that the Filet-O-Fish has shrunk, telling Business Insider in December 2023 that there had been zero changes to the sandwich in decades.
Former McDonald's corporate chef Mike Haracz claims the sandwich looks the same size to him, but since it costs $2 more than it did in 2014, it may seem disproportionately small.
