Take your McNuggets up a notch by asking for them "extra crispy." This prompts the kitchen to refry your nuggets for a few extra seconds, giving them an ultra-crunchy exterior.
McDonald's employees have chimed in online, confirming that this request is easy to do and surprisingly common. They simply warn that you may have a bit of a longer wait time.
McNuggets are par-fried at the supplier to set the coating, then they're fully cooked in-store. The extra frying intensifies the crispiness without overcooking the chicken.
You can also make your whole meal better by getting your fries well-done, too. Simply ask your server for well-done or extra crispy fries, and they'll double-fry them as well.
