McDonald's McNuggets are pretty good, but they’re nothing without the proper dipping sauce — and McDonald's creamy ranch sauce ruins the experience of the McNugget.
Chowhound writer Alex Springer ranked every McDonald's sauce, and he found that out of all the options, the ranch was rather disappointing.
Springer described this ranch as "a watery coat of sour dairy." This is because McDonald’s ranch is made as a dressing instead of a sauce, making it too thin and acidic.
Many restaurants make their ranch from scratch, but McDonald's ranch is pre-packaged. You're better off using ketchup, barbecue, or honey mustard for your McNuggets and fries.
