With 662 locations in operation, Cracker Barrel has become a well-known chain of restaurants across the U.S., yet some states still stand without a location to call their own.

While the states with the most Cracker Barrel locations are in the southeast region, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Wyoming, and Vermont currently lack any Cracker Barrel locations

The charm of the country store naturally attracts a broad demographic in the southeast region. However, as you move further north and west, it may appear more like a niche concept.

This, coupled with the general sparseness in population further from the eastern seaboard, may explain why Wyoming, Washington, and Vermont still lack a Cracker Barrel.

Additionally, the isolation of the states of Alaska and Hawaii, both geographically and culturally, also plays a role in why they aren’t an appealing option for the country store.
