Lobster is often highly sought-after and has become an expensive delicacy not everyone can afford. Fortunately, there is a solution that is cheaper but just as delicious: monkfish.
Despite its unusual appearance, monkfish has a firm texture and a sweet flavor profile that is similar to that of a lobster. This has earned it the nickname "poor man's lobster."
As an added benefit, monkfish is not currently overfished. So, due to its versatility in the kitchen and its lower price point, monkfish is an ideal alternative to lobster.
