Apples whole and sliced in half
If you're tired of reaching for the sliced apples in the fridge only to find them browning, try a simple solution to prevent this. Before storing them, soak them in salt water.
Sliced apples submerged in water
Prepare a cold water and salt solution using roughly ½ teaspoon of salt for every 32 ounces of water. Submerge the apple slices in the solution for about five minutes.
