Celebrity chef and judge on "The Great British Bake Off," Prue Leith, revealed in her newest cookbook her love for store-bought frozen puff pastry.
In "Life's Too Short to Stuff a Mushroom: Really good food without the fuss," Leith called store-bought puff pastry "one of the best things since sliced bread."
Leith also noted that she always prefers buying the grocery store variety over the laborious task of making her own from scratch for use in savory or sweet applications.
At the Cheltenham Literature Festival, the celebrity chef and TV personality admitted to a crowd, "I haven't made puff pastry in 25 years."
