The Texas State Fair Food That Doesn't Even Sound Real

Texas' state fair is famed for its extensive selection of fried foods, and a seemingly impossible fried food has been served at the Texas State Fair for multiple years: beer.
Fried food genius Mark Zable first showcased this dish to the world in 2010. The food consists of small pillows of dough encasing still-liquid Guinness.
Fried for only 20 seconds, a bite tastes of soft, salty dough, that then bursts with the flavor of tangy-warmed beer. It won the fair's Most Creative award upon its debut in 2010.
Mark Zable took three years to create fried beer and even filed a patent for the process. More or less, the secret lies in assembling a sturdy yet pliable dough that can hold beer.
