This Is The Most Expensive Bourbon You Can Buy

While you can easily find a bottle of bourbon for under $20, there's an expensive bottle from Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery that will set you back about $50,000.

The distillery aged it for 25 years and made only 11 barrels. It comes in handmade glass decanters placed in a wooden box made from the oak barrels that originally held the spirit.

It was first casked at the distillery in 1989 but moved when distiller Buffalo Trace acquired Van Winkle in 2002. It was then aged for another 12 years in the barrel.

The bourbon was then moved to steel tanks for the next three years. The 11 barrels produced just 710 bottles, with an original manufacturer's suggested retail price of $1,800.
