What Brand Is Behind Costco's Kirkland Signature Maple Syrup?

Costco is often coy about which companies make Kirkland products, but online sleuths have found that The Maple Treat and Citadelle make the brand's maple syrup.
The Maple Treat is a subsidiary of Lantic, Canada's largest sugar company. It claims to be the world's largest bottler of maple syrup and produces most of its syrup in Quebec.
The company boasts that its syrup has no chemicals, preservatives, or other additives. The Maple Treat also sells syrup independently of Costco under its own branding.
Citadelle is also a well-established maple purveyor and has 100 years of history. It's a cooperative of Quebec maple farmers and boasts of using no additives in its syrup.
Citadelle has organic certifications from Canada and the USDA. Both Citadelle and The Maple Treat are large and well-established, so there isn't any obvious cause for concern.
