McDonald’s coffee has been widely praised for its smooth and rich taste, often making customers curious about the supplier behind the delightful and inexpensive drink.
According to McDonald’s website, a company called Gaviña Gourmet Coffee has been responsible for providing coffee for the worldwide fast food chain since 1983.
A family-owned brand and an integral part of the McDonald’s brand, Gaviña Gourmet Coffee was founded in 1870 by the Gaviña family, who still owns the company to this day.
Gaviña uses arabica coffee beans from Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. The medium-roasted beans are typically brewed every 30 minutes at many McDonald’s locations.
This ensures that your coffee tastes fresh, not burnt or bitter. In addition to McDonald’s, Gaviña Gourmet Coffee is also available for purchase at numerous major retailers.
