The difference between Costco and other vendors is that Costco has an official Unique Manuka Factor certification which comes from the manufacturers of this honey themselves.
UMF certification requires an exhaustive test battery that uses a four-factor quality assurance test to measure manuka honey's potency, authenticity, freshness, and shelf life.
Currently, Costco shoppers can get manuka honey from 5 to 20 UMF. Costo sells two manuka honey brands, Manuka Health and Comvita, both UMF-certified.
