If you're craving guacamole but don't have avocados, consider a condiment called guacachile, a green salsa that's a mix of jalapeño peppers, onions, vegetable oil, and salt.
Guacachile's color can easily convince your brain that avocado is the main ingredient, but it is much thinner than guacamole, making it easier to drizzle atop foods.
Generally, this salsa is considered to be medium-spicy, but the spice levels vary depending on whether the pepper seeds and white pith are also blended in.
