Why The Kirkland Brand Light Beer At Costco Failed

Kirkland Signature light beer, sold in a 48-count case for about $22, was rated a measly two out of five stars, which led it to be discontinued in 2018.
Scathing reviews on Beer Advocate call it "water, not beer" and "very bad beer," and one topped off the insults by saying it "tastes like battery acid."
Shoppers clearly did not like the taste of this beer, even with the low cost. Despite having a few fans, Costco took note and quickly discontinued the beer.
