Your Slow Cooker Is The Secret To The Easiest Butter Chicken Ever

In case you have been avoiding making Indian food in your own home, there is some good news: You can use your slow cooker to make an easy, delicious butter chicken.
Butter chicken consists of bite-sized pieces of chicken braised in a thick, buttery tomato sauce. A slow cooker is ideal for it, as the low-and-slow cooking keeps chicken moist.
While some recipes call for searing the chicken with the spices or the full sauce in a skillet before adding them to the cooker, others suggest cooking only onions in the skillet.
Cooking times can vary, but, generally, cook the meat with the sauce on the cooker's low setting for three to six hours, or on high setting for 90 minutes to three hours.
