Starbucks Is Celebrating Valentine's Day With Cookie And Creme Flavors
Everybody knows that Starbucks goes full holiday mode every winter with Christmas-themed cups and seasonal menu items, but tinsel time is far from the only occasion they like to pull out the stops for. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the coffee giant is unveiling a new repertoire of drinks, with the theme of "Love at First Sip," and they're putting cookies and crème front and center. Starting on January 30, menus in the United States and Canada will feature two new Starbucks Iced Coffees: a Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino and a Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew.
The Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino, a vibrant Valentine-pink offering, features strawberry purée and java chips with whipped cream on top. The Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew has hazelnut syrup and a chocolate cream cold foam with a sprinkling of chocolate cookie crumbs on top. The price of each drink will vary by location, with a Grande (16 oz.) Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino, ranging from $5.25 to $5.75, and a Grande Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino, ranging from $5.95 to $6.75.
In addition to the new menu offerings, Starbucks fans also have a selection of four Valentine's Day drinkware items to peruse, which landed in stores on January 3. Two are cold cups, one with a pink-and-blue gradient and one patterned with, naturally, valentine hearts. There's also a heart-patterned water bottle and a pink-and-green floral mug.
Starbucks Valentine's Day beverages from around the world
U.S. Starbucks locations won't be the only ones to feature new menu items, with the coffee chain offering different seasonal beverages by region. The strawberry theme continues at Latin American and Caribbean locations, which will offer a Strawberry and Hibiscus Cupid Cream Shaken Tea and a Strawberry and Mint Cupid Frappuccino.
In China, Starbucks will be leaning into the classic Valentine's Day combo of berries and chocolate with a Cocoa Raspberry Flavored Mocha, while Japanese stores will offer a new Rouge Opera Frappuccino Blended Cream. The dramatically-named drink features almond milk, a chocolate glaze, and a final flourish of gold powder.
For those less obsessed with love, Starbucks still has you covered. Starbucks locations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East will lean less into the Valentine's Day theme and more into a cozy winter weather vibe with Golden Caramel White Hot Chocolate, which will also be offered in iced form through the Golden Caramel White Chocolate Frappuccino.
