Taco Bell's Nacho Fries Are Making An Extra Long Return With A New Flavor

What's better than regular fries? Taco Bell's Nacho Fries, of course. When it's available, this irresistibly crispy snack with spicy seasoning is standardly served with a side of nacho cheese sauce. Anyone fortunate enough to order the fan-favorite fries is aware that, like all good things, they come and go. Well, it's time to spread the word: Nacho Fries are coming back for the longest menu run ever.

This time around, Taco Bell is taking the seasonal classic to the next level, thanks to a fresh partnership with Secret Aardvark. Together, the Mexican-inspired fast food chain and the Portland-based hot sauce company will turn up the heat on April 25, when the Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries will hit menus nationwide.

Marking the 11th return of Nacho Fries, this type of comeback has happened before, and thank the Taco Bell gods that it's finally happening again. Like so many of its loyal customers who take advantage of the chain's extreme customization options, Taco Bell isn't afraid to experiment with flavors, even when it comes to the signature fries. Last November, the late-night destination dropped the Grilled Cheese Nacho Fries for a limited time. The extra-cheesy change was clearly a sign of even better things to come, but there's no need to let your imagination run rampant any longer. Here's what's in store for your tastebuds with this latest limited-time version of Taco Bell's signature Nacho Fries.

The spicy secret's out: Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries are coming soon

The Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries might be Taco Bell's best twist yet. For $4.99, this flavor-packed, limited-time offering features fries topped with slow-roasted chicken, a three-cheese blend, sour cream, nacho cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and the brand-new Serrabanero Ranch. The sauce is where Secret Aardvark's expertise in spice shines. The brand's Serrabanero hot sauce — made with green tomatoes, roasted tomatillos, and serrano and green habanero pepper flavors — is combined with creamy ranch, adding a fiery, zesty kick to the fries. Sound too hot to handle? It's possible to increase your spice tolerance in preparation if you're feeling bold.

If that isn't enough hot news, Taco Bell and Secret Aardvark are celebrating the collab with another release, but it's only available to a select few. On April 23, 300 Fire! Tier Taco Bell Rewards members will receive a secret drop created in partnership with Portland-based artist Bryce Wong. What the lucky winners can expect won't be revealed until the day of, but since it's related to fries and hot sauce, it'll probably be a pleasant surprise.

Only available for a limited time, the Secret Aardvark Nacho Fries can be ordered at participating locations starting April 25. However, there's no need to sweat over the whole "while supplies last" thing. Nacho Fries should stay on Taco Bell menus throughout the summer. As the weather heats up, there might even be more spicy changes in store for this fan-favorite item.
