Experience

Emma has worked as a professional writer and copyeditor since 2007, primarily in the news industry. She started as the health and education reporter for the small-market daily The Cape Coral Daily Breeze in Florida. She then moved to Seoul, South Korea, where she worked at Arirang TV, The Korea Herald, and Yonhap News Agency. In 2015, she started as a music writer for Groove Korea magazine — Seoul's No. 1 English magazine — and worked up to music editor in 2016, then took over as editor-in-chief in 2018. Since then, she's worked as a news anchor for KBS World Radio and written many features for The Lincoln County News. She won second place for features at the Oklahoma Press Association's Better Newspapers Contest in 2024.

Education

Emma has a bachelor's degree in journalism from John Brown University in Siloam Springs.
